From Motown's Vaults...

There was an embarrassment of riches in the Motown vaults, as many recorded tracks did not see the light of day until they were eventually released -- First in Motown's 1979 anthology From the Vaults, which showcased ten classic tracks never before released. They provided a glimpse into the wealth of material that did not pass through its seemingly fascistic Quality Control program.

One of those unreleased tracks finally saw the light of day last year in Martha Reeves & the Vandellas' Spellbound: Motown Lost and Found. The song was "Spellbound," allegedly not released because it sounded too similiar to "Heat Wave."
